Our client, a growing HVAC and mechanical contractor, is seeking a Purchasing Manager to support procurement activities for commercial construction projects. Position Type: Direct Hire

Pay: $60,000 - $75,000 DOE

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase HVAC, mechanical, and construction-related materials and equipment.
• Obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and secure the best possible value from suppliers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and manufacturers.
• Coordinate purchasing activities with Project Managers, Estimators, and Operations teams.
• Monitor material lead times and ensure timely delivery to project sites.
• Track purchase orders, deliveries, and vendor performance.
• Assist with forecasting material requirements based on project schedules.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
• Support project teams by ensuring materials are available when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, construction, HVAC, project coordination, estimating, or a related field.
• Knowledge of construction materials and purchasing processes preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience within HVAC, mechanical contracting, plumbing, or commercial construction is highly preferred.
